Gospel sensation Dumi Mkokstad has promised to bring the house down in praise and worship during the second instalment of the Moja Love Easter Gospel Festival. The event will be held at Carnival City?s Big Top Arena in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni, today.
Mkostad said growing up in a Christian family has led him to fully understand the significance of this period as it defines what Christianity is about.
"Growing up at home we?d always go to Easter conventions at church and we?d travel to locations close to the sea for prayer and that made me look forward to such weekends because we never travelled except during this period."
He said this also came with looking forward to seeing certain people at the Easter conventions, with one of them being his wife now, but was a friend back then.
"Easter in Christianity is about celebrating the death and resurrection of Christ, which is the biggest significance of who we are as Christians. That?s how we were won over from sin to become people that are called by his name," he said.
Mkokstad said this time has influenced him to always have a song on his albums that speaks about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
"I will always use my the platform that God has given me through my music to remind people about sacredness of this time."
For his performance at the Moja LOVE Easter Gospel Festival, his fans can look foward to his new music which are songs from his new album.
