South African music fans are in for a treat as iconic kwaito group Boom Shaka gears up for a highly anticipated comeback, three decades after their groundbreaking debut. The group, known for their infectious beats and energetic performances, left an indelible mark in the music industry and played a pivotal role in popularising kwaito music.


THEY WONT BE WORKING WITH KALAWA 


ZiMoja can reveal that the popular group is already in studio putting together their highly anticipated album after many years. As the music scene awaits the much-anticipated return of Boom Shaka, it's clear that their resurgence will be a momentous occasion for the industry and their devoted fanbase. ZiMoja has also learned that their highly anticipated album won't be released via Kalawa Jazzme because they are no longer doing music. "They are working independently as Kalawa is not making music anymore, unless it is special projects," added the source. The group confirmed but refused to divulge details. THEO WAS INJURED 


Zimoja has learned that one of the founding members, Theo Nhlengethwa, was hospitalised after an incident involving a joint that he snapped during gym training. The source said that his injury delayed the group who have been planning their 30th anniversary tour after spending weeks in hospital. "He is still in pain especially when it gets cold.Doctors have advised him not to over work his right arm," added the source. According to the source the stylish trio had to cancel some of their appearances and interviews to allow Theo to fully heal. "He is much better than before at least he can move around although he still needs help with things like getting dressed but luckily his wife is there for him," added the source.
