Disgraced former Ukhozi FM radio presenter Sbu Buthelezi?s scamming tendencies continue as he failing to pay back his former employee a R260k loan he took last year.
Naomi Msomi from Mandeni, in the North of KwaZulu Natal, regrets loaning the Abombuso Investment owner her money in October last year.
Msomi told ZiMoja that when Buthelezi?s woes began he came to her and asked for a loan of R250 000 to pay his workers since his accounts were frozen.
"He approached me late last year when he was failing to pay us since we were employed by him. He told me that he needed the money urgently so that he could be able to pay us our salaries," she said. Msomi told ZiMoja that Buthelezi took another loan of R10 000 weeks later, claiming that he needed to pay this to unfreeze his accounts.
ZiMoja is also in possession of the documents that show that Msomi did transfer money into Abombuso Investment account, which owes an estimated R30 million to its investors.
Msomi told ZiMoja that the former Indumiso show presenter was now dodging her.
"I regret loaning him and I know people will be asking themselves why I agreed to give him so much money, I was helping my boss whom I thought I knew very well. I thought his financial woes were temporary but it looks like they are permanent. I don?t care about the monies that he owes the people who invested in his poultry business, all I want is my money back," she said.
Msomi said that Buthelezi is avoiding her as he keeps changing cellphone numbers. "When I call him to demand that he pays me back my money, he threatens me. He said I was a nuisance and that I would never get my money back because I want to ruin his image. Now I can?t even complete building my family house. Everything is on standstill. I had informed him that the money that I loaned him was for me to be able to start my own business," she added.Attempts to get comment from Buthelezi as he ignored our calls and text messages
